Ethical dilemmas are rarely black and white. When competing responsibilities, client needs, professional boundaries and ethical obligations collide, knowing what to do next can feel challenging.

This practical 1-hour PD gives counsellors a clear, structured process for working through ethical dilemmas with greater confidence.

Using realistic counselling scenarios, we’ll work through the ethical decision-making process step by step — identifying the dilemma, considering ethical principles and responsibilities, exploring options, assessing risks and reaching a decision that can be clearly justified and documented.

Participants will leave with a practical framework they can return to whenever an ethical dilemma arises — helping move from “What on earth do I do here?” to “I know how to work this through.”
